This chemistry course provides opportunities for the capable and highly motivated student. It includes an in-depth study of the principles of chemistry, including the study of metals, nonmetals, compounds, chemical formulas and equations, stechiometry, gas laws, atomic structure, chemical bonding, periodic properties, and trends. This course incorporates inquiry techniques, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Students will use laboratory observations, hypothesizing, experimenting, and interpreting data through graphic presentations and statistical evaluations.
